Linesh Tom Jacob is an experienced Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) professional with over 7 years of experience in the field. He is currently working as an EHS Assistant Manager at Vardhman Airport Solutions, where he is responsible for developing and implementing the Health and Safety Plan for AGL and ELV projects. In his current role, Linesh attends daily operations meetings to provide input on safety matters and suggest recommendations to department heads. He also develops training modules for employees and managers, including HIRA, manual handling, vehicle movement, and specific tasks performed on the airside. Linesh trains all personnel and senior staff on the training modules and leads a team of Safety Supervisors to manage safety in daily operations. Linesh is also responsible for conducting spot checks and audits, developing behavior-based safety programs, and maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly statistics related to EHS. He advises on accident prevention and first aid measures and conducts daily safety meetings with all departments. Additionally, he evaluates the effectiveness of PPE and controls and conducts and oversees incident investigations. Prior to his current role, Linesh worked as a Lead Safety Officer for a project under Larsen & Toubro Hydrocarbon Engineering Limited and as an HSE Engineer at Travancore Pile Foundation. In these roles, he monitored site activities for compliance with health and safety guidelines, conducted hazard assessments, and ensured appropriate control measures for safe work requirements. He also performed routine evaluations to ensure safety requirements were adhered to and created reports identifying potential hazards and offering solutions to rectify them. Linesh holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University. He remains up-to-date with health and safety requirements and aims to meet them at all times. With his extensive experience and knowledge in EHS, Linesh is a valuable asset to any organization.
